Fondation Projets d’Enfance - Welcome
The Fondation Projets d’Enfance is a non profit organisation that was created after a training course which took place in Guatemala in 2005 by Monique Pelletier, a registered nurse and teacher, with seven students who were finishing their program of study in «Santé, Assistance et Soins infirmiers» at Fierbourg in Charlesbourg Quebec.
Noticing the underlying misery of the children in the small village of Santa Maria de Jesus, she decided to collaborate with an existing local association dedicated to the social improvement of the village.
The objectives of the Fondation
As defined in its charter, the objectives of the Fondation Projets d’Enfance are to help finance in Canada and in third world countries, projects relative to hygiene, health and the education of young children. These projects emanate from the given social environment in which they are be realised and are done using the local workforce as well as the materials locally found there.
