The projects of the Foundation in Guatemala
TheFondation Projet d’Enfance is working actively to realise certain projects in Santa Maria de Jesus, in Guatemala. Fund raising activities have helped us to collect money and donations to help us realise certain projects with our partners in Guatemala.
The general assembly
The next general assembly of the foundation Projets d’Enfance will take place on the 18th of November 2009 at 7h00 p.m. at the Patro of Charlesbourg, following the end of the financial exercise of the corporation. This general assembly of the members of the foundation will be the occasion for everyone interested to find out the statusof of our on-going projects and the finances of the foundation; and to elect the future administrators.
Spaghetti super
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Charlesbourg, the foundation Projets d’enfance has organised a spaghetti supper Saturday October 17th starting at 5h30 p.m. This event will take place at the Patro de Charlesbourg. The tickets for this event are 20$ for adults and 5$ for children under 12 years of age, and are available from the members of the board of administration of the Foundation, from the members of the Rotary Club of Charlesbourg or at the Patro of Charlesbourg.
Funds transferred by the Foundation
The board of administration of the Foundation Projets d’Enfance has authorised the transfer of 1500$ to our project in Santa Maria de Jésus in Guatemala. The amount will serve to buy clothing and shoes for the children in the school.
The Foundation Projets d’Enfance is very active in Guatemala (2009).
The precise mission of the foundation is to realise projects that are related to hygiene, health and the education of the children of the village of Santa Maria de Jesus. These projects are realised in collaboration with the people there and must be done using the human and material resources available locally.

« Through the years, it is awesome to see the results that we have obtained with the limited of the funds of the Foundation, » said Monique Pelletier. She continued saying, “The amounts that we have collected have been well invested, for the right projects with little administrative fees. The people’s donations by their participation in our activities really make a significant difference in the lives of the children that I have come to love and adopt.”
Since its inception in 2005, La Fondation projets d’Enfance has allowed, among other things, 80 children to learn to read and write at school by the hiring of another teacher. By teaching the rudimentary rules of hygiene, the Foundation has helped improve the quality of life of the families and the children.

Bowling activity of May 2nd,2009
Our bowling activity which took place on the 2nd of May this year helped us to collect the sum of 597 $
We wish to thank all of the people who participated and also those who could not come but made a donation to the Fondation Projets d’Enfance on this occasion.
The money will serve in the pursuit of the foundation’s projects of social and community development in Santa Maria de Jesus.
May 2009
The foundation has prepared an evening of bowling with its members and invited guests. The event will take place on May 2, 2009 between 16h00 and 19h00 at the Salon de Quilles de Charlesbourg at 8500 boulevard Henri Bourassa. This is an excellent activity for young adults and their friends who wish to encourage the "Fondation Projets d'Enfance".Tickets are 15$ for people over 11 years of age and 10$ for those under 11 years of age.
November 8, 2007
Our yearly gastronomical super took place on November 8 and 72 people were present for the event which took place at “Les Cailles” restaurant in Charlesbourg. On this occasion we had the opportunity to meet and discuss with our members about our future projects at the Fondation. This annual event brought in 2000$ for this years budget which will be used primarily to finance projects in Guatemala.
June 16 2007
A musical evening with the groupe Les Cloportes brought together about 120 people who were entertained by the mucic, the songs and folk dances presented by benevolent members of our community at the Patro of Charlesbourg. The money collected from this event will help us realise some structural projects in Guatemala.
February 9 2007
The first fund raising activity of the Fondation Projets d’Enfance took place. There were 64 persons present at «Les Cailles» restaurant where the Chef and his able team of cooks prepared to the guests a gastronomical super which was greatly appreciated by all. The table service was assured by the teachers responsible for the programme «Santé, Assistance et soins infirmiers» This frist fund raising activity helped us gather 2 000 $ to help finance our ativities in Guatemala.
The general Assembly of the Foundation
Our next general assembly will take place in September 2008 marking the first year of activity of the Fondation Projets d’Enfance. On this occasion the members of the Foundation will have the opportunity to discuss our future plans and to elect a board of governors. The date of the general assembly will be announced soon .
